Copyrights

When an author, inventor, musician, artist, designer or developer comes up with a new idea they want to claim indisputable ownership, also known as a copyright. To the creator of this great new creation there is something of value in their latest, greatest idea and they want to protect it from getting into the wrong hands. They want to get the glory for the success they foresee in the future. The rightful creator wants his rightful reward. He doesn't want someone else to benefit from what he created and worked so hard to see come to fruition.
Copyrighting is a crucial step in the journey of any great new invention or work of art. Copyright laws protect against stealing, exploiting and unintended alteration. Countries have established these laws in order that the true creators have the exclusive rights to the work they have created. The true owner alone can dictate the future of their creation and enjoy the rewards of its success - its honor, glory, money, fame or all of the above.
Intellectual property isn't the only creations that needs protection. There is a copyright far more important than the latest song lyric written or software developed.
The most important copyright is the one registered for you, with your name on it.
Have you ever considered your unique copyright? And no, I don't mean who has the right to clone you! But who has the right to your destiny? Who has ownership over you, deciding who can have access to you, how you will be utilized and where you will be used? Who gets the glory of your success?
Have you allowed your copyright to fall into the wrong hands? Did someone or something sway you with a flashy sales pitch, winning you over to the point where you signed on the dotted line? Or maybe you still have the copyright to your own life. Are you still claiming the exclusive ownership over you, seeking the glory and fame for your successes?
Or is God the one with exclusive rights to your life?
Beloved, if you have never registered your name with God, signing over the right to your life to His care and protection then I must ask, what are you waiting for? There is no safety apart from God. Every security apart from Him is false. Every other foundation is one of sand; His is the only firm, rock solid place to rest.
If you give your right away to anyone else in this world or any other thing in this world it will get exploited for corrupt purposes. Satan wants to capitalize on you. If you try to keep your copyright all to yourself, signing your own name to ownership, the protection may seem failsafe but I assure you, it too, will prove inadequate. You are not your own creator and you cannot be your own protector.
God alone is your refuge, safety and master. He alone should hold ownership to you. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…"
The copyright to your life has been bought with the blood of Jesus Christ. He has laid down His life so that you may have eternal life. The purchase price has been paid, the ultimate safe haven has been secured. You are Christ's.
The God in Heaven who formed you in your mother's womb and knew you before the creation of the world sent His Son to buy you at the highest price a man can pay: his life. God sent Jesus to die for you and I so that He could have us body, mind and soul for now and eternity. He wants the exclusive ownership of all we are. He wants all the glory in our lives.
Don't waste another day with your copyright in the hands of anyone other than your Heavenly Father. He will lead you down the greatest of paths, making your journey one that will amaze you. Left in your own hands, you simply can't accomplish what He can accomplish through you. So give Him your all. Sign away your rights to yourself. The true owner is seated in Heaven and He alone wants your copyright.
